The Beneath and Beyond Paris Trilogy follows a journey between Finland and France — between visible reality and inner transformation. More than a love story, the trilogy explores how human connection, cultural identity, and spiritual searching intertwine in a world that appears secular yet remains marked by deeper questions.

These novels are not built on spectacle or clear villains. They are concerned instead with responsibility, commitment, and the consequences of limited perspective. Through evolving relationships and recurring characters, the trilogy reflects on what it means to build a shared life across geographical, emotional, and spiritual borders.

With Entering Verrania, the first book in the Verrania Saga, the setting changes completely. Verrania is a world of clockwork and steam: a civilisation rebuilt after catastrophe, where digital technology has disappeared and mechanical ingenuity has taken its place. Into this world come people given an unexpected second life — carrying fragments of who they once were while learning who they might become.

The Verrania Saga moves into speculative fiction, but continues to explore questions of identity, faith, responsibility and belonging. Its imagined societies also create space to examine technology, power, culture and the assumptions people bring with them when encountering a world different from their own.

Across both contemporary and imagined worlds, I write about connection — the bonds between people, places and the unseen dimensions of life that shape who we become. My stories move between the visible and the hidden: the narrow streets of Paris, the silence of the North, and now the steam, gears and airships of Verrania.

Writing, for me, begins in observation and listening. It is an attempt to trace meaning beneath everyday moments and to give it form through story. I believe fiction can think as well as feel, and that philosophical questions are most fully explored through human lives.

About the Author

Based in northern Sweden and originally from Finland, I have lived and worked across Europe, including Helsinki, Paris, and the United Kingdom.
My background in communication and leadership informs writing style shaped by observation curiosity, and interest in how people understand one another and the worlds they inhabit.

Writing across contemporary and speculative fiction, I explore questions of meaning, identity, belonging, responsibility, and the ways people respond when familiar assumptions are challenged by change and competing interests.
